Now that it's *officially* autumn, it feels appropriate to share my recent little Autumnal Primark Home haul. I've been seeing Primark Home all over TikTok recently and I can see why. They really have stepped up their game in the last few months - it was all gorgeous AND affordable.
I've been in a few of my local stores over the last month or so and the range in each one has been slightly different each time. That said, they were all full of gems so if you have one near you, I'd definitely recommend going in for a mooch.
I could have easily bought a lot more (hooray for some self control) but here are the pieces I came away with:
White Ceramic Pumpkin - £2.50
White Circle Candle Holder - £2.50
Yellow Textured Candle - £3
Large Red Pumpkin Candle - £3
Small Red Pumpkin Candle - £1.50
I've since also bought one of their beige chenille blankets and it is the softest thing EVER. I think it was about £12 and whilst we're holding off putting on the heating (#costoflivingcrisis) it's serving us well.
Now that it's October I think I'll have to buy at least a pumpkin or two and that will be my seasonal decor complete for Autumn... To be honest, I'm just holding out for the highlight of the year; Christmas! I mean, The Range already have their Christmas range in store so it's basically time, right?

I don't know about you but the charity shops I have near me are never filled with gems. I see other people's local Oxfam's filled with Levi jeans and cool band tees... Mine? It's old Primark vest tops and thick itchy jumpers from the 70s. Anyway, what I was trying to say is that I really enjoy shopping on Depop as a more sustainable, slow fashion option and would recommend it to anyone.

I've posted a Spring Depop Haul and a Summer Depop Haul, and seeing as it's currently Second Hand September it felt only right that I add an Autumn Depop Haul to the mix too. I'm currently not sure where to take my style, so here's a bit of an eclectic mix of items I've picked up recently...
You know summer is on its way out when 'sweatshirt' is the term you're religiously searching. This Levi's jumper was only a tenner including postage and I love it because the logo is actually embroidered not printed. How did I justify buying myself another black jumper? By telling myself that this one is more of a charcoal wash and therefore isn't a black jumper. Winner winner.
These jeans were actually inspired by a girl I saw wearing a similar pair in Padstow. She had them on with a big baggy black tee and a load of necklaces and I really liked how they looked. Lilac mom jeans aren't something I've seen too many people wearing so I can't wait to put a few outfits together with them! These were originally from Boohoo and I paid £11 for them with free shipping, result.
Everyone needs a big baggy striped tee in their wardrobe so I don't think this purchase needs any justification at all. This was originally from Asos and it set me back the grand total of £4.
In an attempt to add a little *spice* to my wardrobe in the form of a sweatshirt that's not black, I bought this Tommy Jeans number. It's a women's size small and I'm not going to lie I would looove for this to be a bigger size but it's still fab nonetheless. I wore this with my white and black grid trousers in Cornwall and I loved how they look together. Plus, a Tommy jumper for less than £15? What a steal.
Oooh look, another sweatshirt. We knew we were going to end up back here didn't we? My workplace has a suuuuuper casual dress code so these jumpers are going to be perfect for when the weather starts to turn and you don't want to be sat in the office with your coat on all day. This Vans jumper is a little on the bobbly side but considering it was the grand total of £6, I'm more than happy to give it a little TLC.
So, there we have it, my little Autumn Depop Haul. As I'm writing this I have actually just bought a pair of black lace-up boots on Depop and I cannnnnot wait for them to arrive. A nice pair of chunky black boots are the perfect transitional piece in my opinion and I can't wait to pair them with all my skirts and dresses as I hang on to the last little bit of summer.

Slow Fashion is something we've recently been talking about fairly often around these parts, and it's a movement I've been really trying to get stuck into. I've signed up to Slow Fashion Season, and besides replacing a pair of jeans that I'd ripped and a couple of tops that were in the sale, I haven't bought any brand new clothes the whole of lockdown.
I've become a bit of a Depop fiend as of late and if you saw my Spring Depop Haul from earlier on this year, you'll know that I love to hunt out a bargain or two. I know people are always slightly hesitant to shop secondhand clothes online, but I personally haven't ever had any major problems. There's one top that I'm still waiting on from a couple of weeks ago, but I've raised a ticket with Depop and I'm hoping to have that sorted soon. Other than that, everything has always arrived super quickly and is exactly as described. No complaints here!
Let's get into this Summer Depop Haul, shall we?
I have some pastel yellow coloured jeans that I bought in Primark a couple of years ago, and seeing as it's not all that warm in England at the moment, I figured I'd try and hunt down a matching jacket. Now, the colour isn't an exact match to the jeans, but it's definitely close enough and I CANNOT wait to wear them together. This jacket is a size 12 and an oversized fit, is originally from Primark and I paid a tenner for it including postage. Winner winner.
A lot of my little summer crop tops have been in my wardrobe since 2015, so I decided it was about time a few new ones were added to the collection. This little black and white striped number was only £3 and is originally from Miss Selfridge. I love chucking on little tops like these with shorts, skirts, jeans, basically anything in the summer as they're just so comfortable and low effort.
Following on from the previous monochrome number, here's another. This top is originally from New Look and when paired with the yellow denim is an absolute vibe. I like that this top is not a suuuuuper cropped crop top because sometimes having your belly button hanging out just isn't a look. I paid £4.50 for this and am going to get so much wear out of it.
I don't have any other clothes in this gorgeous rust colour but figured it'd look really nice with all the neutrals I've got going on at the minute. This with a nice straw bag? Delicious. This was originally from H&M and was a grand total of £4.

I loooove how the oversized jacket looks with the tighter skirt, so if anyone wants to know what I'm going to be wearing all summer... Here's your answer. I have this in a size 6 and paid £7 for it.
And finally, an item that I never thought would be something I'd buy, a lilac gingham dress. Whaaaaat? I've seen a lotttt of people wearing pastels at the moment and figured it was about time I tried something a little different to my usual style. This was originally from Nobody's Child and is a size 6, and I actually think it looks sick on! Paired with the yellow denim jacket? An absolute summer vision. If the sun could hurry up and come out that would be great - this girl has summery clothes to wear!
So, there we have it, my Summer Depop Haul for 2020. Also, for the record, I didn't buy all of these pieces in one go, parcels have gradually been arriving over the last couple of weeks...

In many of my posts mentioning sustainability I've described my efforts to kick my high street fashion spending. Yes, I love a browse of Primark as much as the next person and once upon a time I was in awe of Boohoo for bringing out so many new things all the time. But, it's 2020 now and I'm more informed than ever.
I love clothes. I love buying clothes. I have a wardrobe absolutely crammed full of clothes. But, this year I'm making a real effort to only source pieces either second-hand, from sustainable ranges/shops or, if they are from the high street, pieces I know that I will keep for a long time and get a lot of wear out of.
I've always been a new outfit for every big occasion kind of gal, it's a terrible mindset but I just love wearing and styling different pieces. I feel far less guilty doing such now that the pieces I'm buying are all second hand - I highly recommend giving it a go. Getting a new outfit for under a tenner AND it being better for the planet? What a real kick that is.
Following my first payday in 2 and a half months I had a little Depop browse and this is what I picked up...
Originally from Primark, I picked up these beige and black zebra print culottes and I am in LOVE. They're a size 10 but fit perfectly and I paid a grand total of £6 for them including postage. Look out for them in an Instagram post coming your way soon!
This might just be the biggest find of this haul. It's a Topshop jumpsuit, new with tags (!!!) and I paid £6 for it. It's in this gorgeous green and neutral colour palette and I can't wait to style it with a straw bag in summer, and layered over a white tee for work in the warmer months. This is a size 8 and very much fits true to size!
I think Becca might just be having a bit of a culotte moment... These black and nude spot beauties were a grand total of £5.50 including postage and are going to be THE easiest thing to chuck on over the next few months. With; a jumper whilst it's still a little chilly, a tee for work and a bralet in the summer - we looove a versatile piece. These were originally from Boohoo and are a size 10.
This high neck top I bought from the same seller as the palm print jumpsuit as she was offering free postage on multiple items. It was originally from Miss Selfridge and is SO soft. I wasn't sure how this would look on me but I actually love it. It looks really cool paired with a pair of black mom jeans and my camel coloured coat, OOTD coming your way soon... This was £6, is a size small and I can see myself getting a lotttt of wear out of it!
I actually haven't stopped wearing this coat since I bought it. It's originally from Primark and I paid £13 for it including postage. It's an XS but fits me really nicely. It's cropped, but a nice sort of crop. In other words, it still keeps me super warm and my entire torso isn't hanging out of the bottom of it. I wear this with all of my jeans, my culottes, midi skirts, anything. I just LOVEEE it.

As you're reading this, I go on holiday this week... Whaaaaat? The last few months have totally flown by and I cannot wait to get on that plane and be jetting off for some sunshine. This year, my family and I are off to Mauritius for a couple of weeks. We're staying in a villa, and a lot of our plans revolve around chilling on the beach, swimming in the pool and eating a lotta good food. I actually tried Mauritian food for the first time a few weeks ago, and absolutely LOVED IT, so it's fair to say I'm excited to stuff my face over the next couple of weeks!
Surprisingly, I haven't actually bought all that many new summer clothing pieces this year but I was recently gifted a few bits that I'm absolutely loving. I own a lot of clothes and certainly don't need anymore, but, there's nothing like rocking a new outfit on holiday, right? So, let's just dive right in, shall we? Let me show you the goods...
First up, we have this black and white crochet dress*. I absolutely love this, and I can't wait to wear this both on holiday - as a beach coverup - and at festivals later on in the summer. Being made of crochet, it is see-through, but with a black bikini/cycling shorts on underneath, it looks fab. I have mine in a size small and it fits me perfectly. (I'm a size 8 and 5'7 for reference)
What is a summer haul without a pair of denim shorts? These are the lightwashed distressed denim shorts*, and I have mine in a size 8. I actually trimmed a lot of the distressing on these as it was a bit much for me, and I much prefer how they look now! They're high-waisted, a tight fit but not toooo short - there's no cheek on show.
Last summer I bought the perfect pair of denim shorts but they actually ended up getting pinched whilst I was in a hostel in Vietnam, and to this day, I'm still not over it. But, these will do as a replacement - I'm definitely a fan.
At the risk of sounding like one of those wanky gap yah travellers, the shirt in these photos I bought in a market in Vietnam and the bag is from Bali, so I have no links for those I'm afraid. That being said, bags like these are everywhere at the moment, including Primark, so you definitely don't need a return flight to Denpasar to pick one up!
Ahhh the t-shirt dress, an item I'm never sure looks quite right on me, but I wear regardless. I'm a pretty lanky human with fairly skinny limbs, so it's fair to say that anything too oversized and boxy doesn't do all that much for me. But, when I spotted this pink striped t-shirt dress* I knew I needed it in my life. I have this in an S/M which is an 8/10 and I certainly wouldn't want it any bigger. Dresses like these are so easy to chuck on with a pair of trainers and a denim jacket, so they definitely get a thumbs up from me. And this pink colour? Delicious.
The humble graphic tee: a staple in everyone's wardrobe. I love this white love yaself tee*, it's so simple and pairs really nicely with any sort of bottoms... Floral midi skirt? Yes. Funky patterned shorts (these are Primark FYI)? Definitely. A pair of mom jeans? A look. I actually sized up in this and opted for a M/L because everyone knows that a tight white tee is never a good idea in the summer... Helloooo, sweat patches.
And on that delicious note, I think we'll leave this post here! If I pick up any more summer pieces I'll definitely post another of these hauls, if you're interested! Also, do excuse the desolate bedroom... I'm currently in the process of moving out of my uni room so it's defo looking a bit sorry for itself!

I love clothes and I love shopping. I mean, I don't even want to admit how many items of clothing I have spread across my three (!!) wardrobes. (I've literally been the same size/height/weight for years now, so it's fair to say I've accumulated rather a lot of pieces. Or that's how I justify my excessive collection to myself at least.)
One thing I don't tend to get too caught up in is trends. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like them, I just like what I like and buy whatever I fancy. So, for today's post I thought I'd style four of the current trends on the high street and report back with my thoughts...
So, where better to start than with an absolute marmite item. I've previously tried on a few neon pink pieces but I decided they weren't really for me, so, here we are trying out what can only be described as baby sick green/Stabilo highlighter yellow. Now, I actually love this a lot more than I thought I would. It's the Oversized Neon Jumper*, I have mine in S/M and definitely wouldn't want it any bigger. It's so cosy and has the hugest roll neck. You definitely wouldn't get lost in a crowd wearing this piece. I just styled it with black Topshop Leigh jeans and black heeled boots from Primark. As for a jacket, I would definitely wear a black jacket, perhaps a leather one. Overall, I like this a lot more than I thought I would and I'm definitely going to make the most of it whilst neon is on trend again. (The last time I wore neon I was at a school disco with legwarmers on, so yeah, a long while ago).
Now, I'm not new to leopard by any means but I thought I ought to include some in this post because it really is everywhere at the moment. This is the Leopard Midi Dress* and it literally fits like a glove. I have mine in a size 8 and it's a perfect fit. It's a really thick, stretchy material and I love it. Now, I'm not usually that much of a midi dress fan and tend to opt for a mini, but I think I'm slowly being converted. This dress I just paired with black heeled ankle boots and a black fur jacket, and it's a solid 9/10.
Ahhh, the one shoulder trend. I must admit, this is one I just didn't really get. This is the Mustard One Shoulder Midi* and like the other dress, is really good quality. Now, it does fit a bit funny around the chest, but the fit everywhere else is great and I love the split on the leg. I think this colour would definitely look a lot better on me with a tan so either I need a date with St Moritz or a holiday... I know which I'd prefer. Having tried a one shoulder piece, I'm still not sure I get it, and I won't be rushing out to buy more things in this style, I'm perfectly happy with my regular two straps, yanno?
And the final trend; teddy fur. I LOVE THIS STUFF. I recently bought a burgundy teddy sweatshirt from Stradivarius and it is the cosiest thing ever. So, when I spotted this Grey Teddy Jumper Dress* I decided it really needed trying out. It is the softest material ever and is slightly longer at the back than the front. I styled this with black vans and a denim jacket for a super chilled, casual look. I also think this would look fab with black velvet over the knee boots and a leather jacket, or just with leather trousers whilst it's still pretty chilly out. This is 100% going to be my go to lazy day outfit, it's just so so comfy. It seems a bit paradoxical to be wearing a big cosy dress whilst having your legs exposed to the elements, but that's a problem Becca can deal with another day...
Aaaaaand that's a wrap. Those are the four trends I decided to try out and my favourite by far is the teddy fur, closely followed by the leopard print. Neon is in third place - I can't work out if it looks really good or really bad, and my least favourite of the four is the one shoulder trend. I'm not sure I'll ever get it.

I love clothes and I love shopping. I mean, I don't even want to admit how many items of clothing I have spread across my three (!!) wardrobes. (I've literally been the same size/height/weight for years now, so it's fair to say I've accumulated rather a lot of pieces. Or that's how I justify my excessive collection to myself at least.)

In light of Stacey Dooley's documentary on fast fashion and its consequences, I have really been trying to think more about the impact my consumerism has on the planet. I mean, yes, I still love popping into Primark and eyeing up trend pieces, but less so at the expense of the environment, yanno. I think it's important that we all do our bit here and there because when added together, the impact could be huge.
So, I've decided to start thrifting a bit more. I had a bit of a charity shop phase a few years ago but hadn't really been in one since. Well, fast forward to now and one of my best friends and I went for brunch and then did a charity shop tour of our local highstreet. Talk about rock and roll. I picked up four pieces that I absolutely love and paid less for all of them than I did my smoothie and berry compote pancakes the hour before, win-win.
So, you've decided that you want in on this thrift shop, sustainable but inexpensive fashion malarkey... Here are three tips for thrifting:
- Set aside a large chunk of time
There's no such thing as just popping into a charity shop for two minutes and walking away with a new outfit. It takes time, and patience, so is definitely not something to do in a rush when you've got 10 minutes left on your parking meter. In their very nature, they're all over the place and filled with random toot, so finding the hidden gold takes a long ol' while.- Ignore the size labels
I cannnnot stress this enough. For one, lots of the clothes have been worn lots and so hence have been washed lots and so have shrunk. The stripey tee I bought is labelled as a size 16 and is fairly snug on me (I'm an 8). Also, there are all sorts of brands in charity shops with all sorts of different sizing. What is an 8 in Primark is not always the same as an 8 in brands X, Y and Z. So, I would recommend just looking at all the rails and working out what might fit by eye. Most charity shops have changing rooms so just grab a load of stuff and try it on.- Plan outfits in your head
Yes, the clothes might be cheap, but if you can't picture yourself wearing them as part of an outfit then it's definitely time to put them back down. Whilst shopping with my friend we made a real point of doing this, trying to come up with different outfit combos for potential buys. That £6 hot pink fur coat might be a nice statement piece, but if it's going to sit festering in your wardrobe for 12 months, then maybe leave it in the shop.

I mentioned in my latest Sick Tings post that I headed home for the weekend last week. It was lovely. Despite only being home for less than 48 hours, my mum, sister and I managed to squeeze in a very fruitful shopping trip. We hadn't initially planned to go clothes shopping, but we had to return a faulty clothes rail back to Argos (what a glamorous life I lead, it's not all parties and blogging events) and ended up falling into Topshop, New Look, H&M... The usuals. I was only really on the lookout for a potential boat ball outfit, but somehow managed to accumulate quite a haul, none of which including a boat ball outfit. I did, however, make an ASOS order and think I've found the dress I'm going to wear, there's a photo of it on my twitter here if you're interested. I'd love to hear your thoughts. My housemate said it looks like I've just wrapped a beach towel around me so there's that. It's definitely out of my usual dress scope, but I do think I really really like it, and I'll be more than likely wearing it to the ball.
New Look are currently holding a sale (when are they not??) and I managed to grab all three of these pieces from the sale, winner winner. Now, let's start with that skirt. I'm still not entirely sure how the tie at the front of it works, but the print is what absolutely sold this to me. I absolutely love the red and the pink together, particularly with the black contrasting with it. This skirt was only £5 and whilst I can't find it online, it might still be in stores if you want to look out for it. The Bonjour tshirt is in one of my favourite colours at the moment and was only £3 ?? Whaaaat? I'm going to pair it with blue denim and my white Missguided leather boots for casual days, and I think it's going to be a vibe. As for the floral number, it's a playsuit and cost a measly £8. I have quite a lot of events/parties/balls coming up after exams so I'm sure I'll be wearing this to one of those. It fits really nicely, and the print is stunning. I'm not usually a florals kinda gal, but there's something about winter florals that really draws me in.
Shall we just pause here for a second to admire the beauty that is that botanical print? I absolutely love it. Both of the above pieces are from H&M and were only £8.99 each full price?? I've recently ordered quite a few Boohoo playsuits and had to send them back due to them covering less than 30% of my derriere, so was pleasantly surprised when this H&M one was plentiful in length. I got this in a small and it's genuinely a perfect length, so if you're after a playsuit H&M is certainly worth looking at. Wait what, is that two floral pieces in one haul? Yeah it is, kids. This second piece is actually a maxi dress and I'm lowkey in love with it. I haven't had a maxi dress in years, but this one fits like an actual dream. The bodice of it is really tight and the skirt has a slit the whole way up of it, so it's super flattering and not at all frumpy. Get me to Bali in my maxi dress already please.
