Becca's producing fashion content over on her blog? 2020 really is the year of 'New Year, New Me' eh! I've been really enjoying shooting my outfits and posting them over on my Instagram lately, so I figured we could bring a little slice of that pie over here to my blog...
I finally feel as if I'm developing my own personal style. Granted, everyone has a personal style because we all wear clothes, but over the last few months, I really feel as if I've started honing in on pieces that are very 'me' and am compiling a wardrobe that very much all fits together.
Don't get me wrong, I love a slouchy jumper and a pair of faded, creased joggers as much as the next person but I'm really enjoying putting outfits together at the moment and buying pieces I know will get a lot of wear. Speaking of getting a lot of wear, these jeans have been on my legs SO many times that their cost per wear is at an all-time low. I mean, look at them! What's not to love, eh?
When I first bought them I wasn't really sure what to pair with them, particularly during autumn/winter, as a pale-coloured trouser has never struck me as a wintery piece. Alas, I've had no issues incorporating them into outfits, so, for today's blog post, I thought we could chat about five different ways to wear these beauties...
A Band Tee and Boots
This is an outfit I like to wear when I'm feeling cooler than I really am... I mean, a Foo Fighters tee, who do I think I am? I listen to Lewis Capaldi and Dermot Kennedy on repeat all day every day, I'm not cool enough to be wearing band tees! But, it was a couple of quid in a charity shop and a girl can dream...
T-Shirt - Thrifted
Black Fluffy Cardigan - V old and doesn't have a label in, sorry!
Belt - Boohoo
Boots - New Look
Bag - Topshop
The Answer To Any Fashion Related Question: Leopard Print
I'm sorry, why did I avoid leopard print for so long in fear of looking like Kat Slater?! It's 2020 and I'm channeling alllll the Kat vibes and kicking myself for all of the lost time. I love this jumper. It's cropped at just the right length and it's leopard print but a classy leopard print, if that makes sense? Although, the longer I'm sat here typing away about leopard print, the more I'm starting to question if this print is even leopard print... Is giraffe print a thing?!
Jumper - Topshop
Belt - Boohoo
Boots - New Look
Bag - Bershka
A Grey Knit, Cosy and Simple
Okay, is this a bit of a cop-out outfit? Soz. I absolutely love how the cream jeans contrast with the grey of the jumper. That being said, I had no idea what colour jacket to pair with this combo hence the lack of one altogether... I'm good, but not quite that good. What kind of jacket would you pair with this outfit?
Jumper - Monki
Boots - Matalan
Allll The Neutrals
By far the smartest of all of the looks in this lookbook and potentially my favourite... This jacket literally makes any outfit look so well put together and I love it. It's not the warmest of garments, however, so I think this outfit is very much suited to Spring and the milder weather!
Jacket - New Look
Top* - Everything 5 Pounds
Belt - Boohoo
Bag - Topshop
Boots - Matalan
Black, White, and Patterns
This is by far the most Becca of all of the outfits in this post. Monochrome? Check. Animal Print? Check. Teddy Coat? Check. I think we might have saved the best til last.

Top - Topshop

Bag - Topshop

How would you style cream jeans?
I posted my first Styling Four Trends post just over a month ago and it received such a good response that I figured I'd do a second... So, here we are, welcome to another! As with the last post, this one is also in collaboration with Femme Luxe who very kindly gifted me these clothes. I looooove trying new trends so maybe we'll make this more of a regular occurrence? I'm thinking once a month? Does that sounds like a good plan? Answers on a postcard, please.
To start off this installment of the series it felt only right to go for this pink check pinafore*. Now, I've been getting more and more into check recently but didn't have any pink check and, now, here we are. It is winter, and I am really quite pasty, but I loooove how this looks on. I layered it with a cream knit and bare legs and I think it looks pretty fantastic. When it gets a little warmer, I think it'll also look really cute with a white tee underneath and trainers, with a denim jacket thrown on top.
Okay, so this one is hardly a new, mind-blowingly exciting trend, but, I've never had a pair of ribbed leggings* before, so thought I'd try out a black pair. I paired them with a black ribbed bardot and I love how comfy it is as a pair. I can definitely see me wearing these lots on lazy days... I mean, I've only had them a few days and they've already had their first wear to Aldi. The sign of a good cozy piece, no?
Now, I didn't think I'd EVER own/wear a lace bodysuit, but, do you know what, I lowkey love this white bodysuit*. Yes, it will look 100 times better with a tan, and yes, it is literally see through (plasters are your friend) - but I think I'm a convert. I have mine in a size 6/8 and it's a perfect fit for me. It does literally look like lingerie but with a big denim jacket I think it's such a cool combo.
I used to own a pair of leather coated jeans, but, I very recently tried them on and they were not looking cute - I literally couldn't do them up. So, here we are with a replacement; black leather leggings*. Unfortunately, these are really quite short on me so I had to roll them up and I'm not sure what I think of them... They're really really high waisted and also have a really thick waistband, so they're really flattering. They are, however, very shiny, so I'm not sure when they're going to get their first wear. They're a little too much for a geography lecture, no?
Aaaaand there we have, four more trends as trialed and styled by me. Of the four, the check pinafore is by far my favourite - I think it's going to look so so cute in Spring. I'm also really excited to wear the bodysuit when a) the weather's a bit warmer so I don't freeze to death and b) I have a bit of a tan...
