Sick Tings 043

17 March 2019

Not to be dramatic but I think this might be one of the best weeks everrrrr! I've had such a good week, even with an exam thrown in there too! The absolute highlight of the week has to be Post Malone - what a night! The weather has been less than ideal this week though - Storm Gareth is starting to become a bit of a nuisance. Pls stop being windy soon, I'd like to walk to uni in peace! I posted one of my favourite blog posts to date this week - responding to your assumptions - I'd love to know what you think!

A lifestyle roundup of my week at university featuring all I've bought, watched, eaten, seen and been up to. Featuring Post Malone, a day in London and a much needed haircut.

The first half of this week was pretty much only midterm revision. I study a module all about advertising and this week we had an exam on all of the content we've learnt thus far. The exam was fairly difficult, but, we knew it was going to be, so that didn't come as a shock at all! I'm just so glad it's over! Revising the same 4 topics over and over really is incredibly dull.

In other news, I finally had a haircut! I haven't had it cut since this post, so, yeah, it's safe to say it's been a long ol' while. I'm gonna be honest, the absolute best part of going to the hairdressers is having your hair washed. Forget the rest of it, just wash my hair for me pls. I love the length that my hair is now. It was getting to that awkward in between stage where it's neither long nor short, so I'm much happier with how it looks now. It's also sooooo much softer and healthier, so it's an all-round win if you ask me.

This week I bought my ticket for the grad ball and also received the invite for the formal graduation ceremony too! The ball is the second week of June and gradation itself is mid July... How is uni almost over?!! It feels like only last week I was moving into halls and making those first few awkward conversations with my now best friends. Please, can time slow down a little?

Aaaah, Post Malone. We (my housemates and I) had seated tickets for his Thursday night show at the o2 and it was so so good! We had dinner at Ask beforehand and made our way to our seats towards the end of the second support act's set. One thing I think we need to discuss before we get onto the main man himself is the price of drinks at the o2?... £8 for a single and mixer - are you having a laugh? Anyway, Post Malone. WHAT A SHOW. He literally played all of the classics including a guitar rendition of Stay aka my favourite Posty song. He was on for an hour and fifteen and the time absolutely flew by. He gets a 10/10 from me. Love love love.

I stayed at my friend's house that night and then a group of us headed into London the following day for a wander. We went to a lot of the main sights, ate a lot of good food and generally just wandered our way around the city. We went to Notting Hill, Hyde Park, Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden, and Trafalgar Square. What a good day.

Then, this weekend I've just been at home home having early birthday celebrations. It's my 21st birthday on Tuesday, and I'm going to be at uni, so my family and I have spent this weekend celebrating! I'm not going to go into that too much now, I think I'm going to save it all for next week's post after my actual birthday! But, let's put it this way, I've been absolutely spoilt! Thank you, fam!

What have you been up to this week?
